Welcome
Movement. Connection. Community
Peer-Led Recovery support for youth & adults
5280 Active Recovery provides community-based, peer-led recovery support for adolescents and adults navigating mental haalth chllenges, addiction recovery, and/or co-occurring disorders. We believe recovery is personal and non-linear and that movement and community are powerful tools for healing.
Our team meets people where they are and walks or runs along side them as they build healthier routines, stronger connections, and a more positive lifestyle.
Our Services
Providing Comprehensive 1:1 and group services to help give you the skills to get you where you want to be in life.

Peer Support (QBHA)
We believe recovery takes a village. Our team uses a dual approach to wrap-around care: Peer Support Specialists bring their own lived recovery journeys to offer you real, judgment-free mentorship and hope. Right alongside them, our QBHAs (Qualified Behavioral Health Assistants) handle the heavy lifting of your care coordination—managing paperwork, organizing resources, and helping you navigate the system smoothly.

Case Management
True recovery is built upon a solid foundation. Our Case Management services tackle the complexities of daily logistics so you can focus on healing. We collaborate with you to navigate medical systems, find secure housing, gain employment, and access vital community tools. Your case manager acts as a dedicated partner in establishing a balanced, productive, and self-sufficient future.

Parent and Family consultant
Addiction and mental health struggles affect the entire family, not just the individual. Our Parent and Family Consultant provide dedicated support to parents, caregivers, and family members. As professionals with their own lived experience caring for a loved one through recovery, they offer a safe, judgment-free space to process your reality. They help you build healthy boundaries, develop sustainable coping mechanisms, and navigate complex healthcare or school systems so your whole family can heal.
Harm Reduction
Harm reduction is an evidence‑based public health approach that focuses on reducing risk and increasing safety, rather than requiring abstinence as a prerequisite for care. Peer‑reviewed research shows that harm‑reduction approaches:
-
Reduce overdose deaths
-
Lower HIV and hepatitis C transmission
-
Increase engagement in health and recovery services
-
Improve trust and retention, especially among youth and marginalized populations
-
A 2025 review in Harm Reduction Journal concluded that harm‑reduction interventions save lives and improve health outcomes without increasing substance use. These approaches are especially effective when paired with peer support and care coordination, which improve engagement and continuity of care. [pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov]
